Eagle wins the 2017 Michael G. Schaefer Memorial Stakes.

Grade 3 winner Eagle has been retired and will stand the 2018 breeding season at Valor Farm in Pilot Point, Texas, for an advertised fee of $5,000.

A 5-year-old Candy Ride horse, Eagle retires with seven wins in 24 starts and earnings of $754,186. His resume is highlighted by a victory in the Grade 3 Ben Ali Stakes, as well as scores in the non-graded Michael G. Schaefer Memorial Stakes and Tenacious Stakes.

He finished in the money in seven additional graded stakes races, including a runner-up effort in the Grade 1 Stephen Foster Handicap.

Eagle raced as a Kentucky homebred for William S. Farish, and was trained by Neil Howard.

Eagle is out of the winning Mineshaft mare Sea Gull, who is the dam of two winners from three runners. Grade 3-placed Private Ryan and stakes winners Exclusive Bird and Magnifica are in the extended family.
