Dyna Da Wyna wires

Dyna Da Wyna, showing newfound early speed, drew off after setting all the pace to post a victory Thursday in the $84,450 Clark County Stakes over the Keeneland turf.

Ridden by Pat Day, Dyna Da Wyna returned $5 as a slight favorite after finishing 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Speedy Sonata, who dueled outside the winner for virtually the entire 5 1/2-furlong distance. Black Escort finished third, another 4 1/2 lengths back in a field of 10 fillies and mares, while Whenthedoveflies, the 8-5 second choice, faded to eighth.

Dyna Da Wyna, trained by Elliott Walden, finished in 1:03.32 over a "good" course. Her owner, WinStar Farm, has her entered in the Keeneland breeding stock sale next month.
