Dutch Art wins at Newmarket

Dutch Art scored a two-length win in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on Friday. The 6-5 favorite in a field of six and ridden by Frankie Dettori, Dutch Art took the lead two furlongs from home and looked to have plenty in reserve at the end of the six-furlongs.

The other Group 1 on the card, the Cheveley Park Stakes for 2-year-old fillies over the same six-furlongs, lost most of its luster with the scratch of the favored Sander Camillo on account of the rain-softened ground. Indian Ink relished the conditions, though, winning by a neck over Dhanyata.
