Dulce Realidad by four in Trevose Stakes

A pair of 3-year-old fillies shipping in from out of state attracted the most betting money, but locally based Dulce Realidad dominated Tuesday's $75,000 Trevose Stakes at Philadelphia Park.

After dueling with the 2-1 second choice, Phantom Income, through a half-mile in 45.19 seconds, Dulce Realidad ($13.40) took command midway on the turn and drew clear to win the 6 1/2-furlong Trevose by four lengths under jockey Jose Flores.

Yankee Victoria, the 6-5 favorite coming off an easy win over maidens at Delaware Park, stalked the pace and inherited second. Outside Lane, a 14-1 longshot, outfinished Phantom Income, a stakes winner at 2, for third, a length behind the runner-up.

A daughter of Sweetnorthernsaint trained by Richard Vega for Stud El Aguila, Dulce Realidad has now won 3 of 4 starts, all at her home track. She completed the distance on a fast track in 1:16.33.

Dulce Realidad will likely be pointed to Philly Park's $200,000 Jostle, a 6 1/2-furlong stakes restricted to 3-year-old fillies, on June 14.- Joe DeVivo
