Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action. 1:11 TAM 3rd Despite finishing further behind the winner than she did in her bow it seemed PARTY DREAM (#8, 10-1) showed good late foot once again in that last one, her first start with Lasix; moves to the turf for the first time but dam Peggy Joyce was a grass horse who posted four of her five wins on the green. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race 1:52 AQU 3rd CLASSIER (#3, 8-1) looked good winning first time out, so it wasn't really a surprise that his next four starts all came vs. graded stakes rivals; wasn't successful vs. that kind of competition and has had trouble making it to the races since; turf to dirt for a new trainer but might finally be in a spot where he can start to build on that early promise he showed. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  1:59 GP 7th HIGH OAK (#1, 8-1) ran a monster winning the Saratoga Special beating Gunite in process but sidelined since near tragic incident in the FOY. Talented sort returns on Lasix and off a nice looking of series of works at Payson including good one in company with more experienced Galt on 2/16. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  2:40 TAM 6th ROWDY JESS (#7, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race  3:00 TUP 1st RANCHER (#7, 8-1) catches a race with no speed. He draws the attack post going this 6 1/2 furlongs. When last seen going this distance (4 back), this gelding broke 7th of 8 from the rail while being sent off at 33-1. Game over, right? Nope. He sat just 1 1/2 lengths off the early pace and won by that same 1 1/2 lengths. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  3:17 OP 4th LIL'S TURN (#1, 8-1) made her Oaklawn debut last out and was a credible second. She would seem to have reason to move forward in both her second start over the track and in her second start since December. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race 3:20 LRL 7th Curious to see what we get from INDYBOUND (#7, 6-1) who earned a solid Beyer when a game maiden winner in final start of 2022. Pressed favored Landon Jack from the outside through a quick early split, made the front turning for home, and beat back a strong challenge from runner-up Duckpins. Must deal with an 87-day layoff and some other speeds to his inside, however, for barn that hasn't had much success with last-out maiden winners (did score with "Lasix On" Velvet Ghost on 2/19). -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:22 TAM 9th HAPPY UNION (#3, 8-1) settled for 4th behind a few of these same runners in that last one but she had little chance to close ground after racing near the rear of the pack early on in a race lacking speed, and featuring slow early fractions; much better pace scenario on tap today, and that would move her way up if faster splits materialize. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  4:56 AQU 9th CLEAR THE AIR (#1, 30-1) a wildcard in this full Gotham field as he switches surfaces for a trainer with a limited history. Looked green in his dirt debut when breaking from the outside and staying wide, and only weakening in the late stages; was convincing winning his second start off the layoff, and he got very unlucky last time when unable to get clear until it was too late. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  5:09 GP 13th MASTER PIECE (#2, 5-1) checked to last, was running on nicely from tight quarters between horses while left with way too much to do in the Pegasus Turf. Should relish the added ground. Could mow them all down here with a little better early placement. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  5:22 OP 8th ANTIGRAVITY (#4, 4-1) was second over some of these last out when earning a career-high Beyer Speed Figure. It's the best last-race number in this spot. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  5:25 AQU 10th BUCKINGHAM PRINCE (#1, 15-1) struggled to get back to the races while scratched by the vet a couple of times, and he was sent seven furlongs when he finally did make it back last month; like this shorter distance for him and will give him a chance to improve in the second start back. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  5:27 SA 6th In a deep field of Derby candidates, last-out maiden winner SKINNER (#9, 5-1) gets the call to upset NATIONAL TREASURE. The high-figure maiden comeback victory by SKINNER was no fluke. G1-placed last as a 2yo, he won the maiden race with a 95 Beyer and had something in the tank late winning by more than three lengths. It is a bullish sign he runs back in three weeks; this field has pace to flatter his rally. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race  5:40 TUP 6th LILA'S LUCKY LADY (#3, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race  6:00 SA 7th LINCOLN HAWK (#8, 7-2) ran better than the line looks finishing third in a similar spot last time. He got stuck behind rivals into the far turn, had to wait, uncorked a late rally and missed miss by less than two lengths. Solid effort racing one mile. The challenge is this race is a mile and one-eighth. Not sure if his rally is as effective at this longer trip, but the 5yo gelding seems in career-best form. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race  6:10 TUP 7th MAJOR MUNNINGS (#8, 6-1) might love the barn switch to Evans who is not only the leading barn but also 24% off the claim. This gelding draws best while first call rider gets a leg up in Negron. Before the layoff, this guy was trying open claimers at Emerald which are just better than these. Added half furlong is another plus. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  8:16 GG 8th SEA DOG (#6, 6-1) and IN HONOR OF AUTISM were no factor as longshots in the El Camino Real Derby on Feb. 11, but look much better placed in this allowance race-optional claimer for 3-year-olds at a mile. Sea Dog was third in a race at this level behind the capable Happy Does on Jan. 21 despite a troubled trip. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race  8:46 GG 9th SMILE AND PROFILE (#2, 5-1) needs for a first win in this $25,000 claimer for maidens. Smile and Profile is winless in three starts. She ran erratically and was disqualified from fourth to seventh in her debut, had a poor start in her second race, and a bad trip in her third. Frank Alvarado stays with the filly, who is likely to run from a tracking position. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
