DRF.com service update, Monday 9/17/01

NEW YORK, N.Y. - As of 12:00 p.m. Eastern Monday, Daily Racing Form remains unable to transmit data from its 100 Broadway offices to its Web servers due to the continuing disruption of communications in lower Manhattan. A definitive time for when Daily Racing Form will be able to resume publishing past performance data and related materials to DRF.com cannot be determined at this time.

Limited entry information available

With the help of its data partner, Equibase, Daily Racing Form is able to publish entry information to DRF.com. Current for most tracks are now available. Entry information on DRF.com will not include betting numbers until we have access to our Manhattan offices and communications in the area have been restored. Users can purchase official programs that include betting numbers from Equibase.com.

Watch notifications not functioning

DRF.com users should be aware that the current situation has caused DRF's Carryover Watch, Horse Watch, Trainer Watch and Race Watch services to cease generating and distributing notifications to subscribers of these services, both via email and posting to the Web site.

BayMeadows.com out of service

Web sites hosted by Daily Racing Form's hosting services group have also been affected by the situation in lower Manhattan. The race track Web site will be out of service until communications in lower Manhattan have been restored or until a temporary site can be established.

Thoro-Graph products available from temporary site

Thoro-Graph users can go to the to download their products until connectivity to thorograph.com has been restored.

We will continue to keep site users informed of the situation as new information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to deal with these unfortunate circumstances.
