DRF.com service update, Friday 9/21

NEW YORK, N.Y. - As of Friday afternoon, Daily Racing Form's T1 lines are still out of service and this situation continues to prevent the company from transmitting complete past performance data and related materials to its Web servers.

At this time DRF is researching communication alternatives, however,a definitive time for when DRF will be able to resume publishing complete past performance data and related materials to DRF.com cannot be determined at this time.

Analysis and Closer Looks

Handicapper analysis and Closer Look analysis for major tracks will be posted on DRF.com until we can resume publishing a complete online product. This information can be found under and is available to all users.

New Breeders' Cup forum added

One area of DRF.com not affected by the current situation has been the DRF.com Community found under the Interact tab in the upper navigation bar. Today we added a new 2001 Breeders' Cup forum to give users a place in which to analyze and discuss the Breeders' Cup races with their fellow handicappers.

Limited entry information available

With the help of its data partner, Equibase, Daily Racing Form continues to publish entry information to DRF.com. Current for most tracks are now available. Entry information on DRF.com will not include betting numbers until we have access to our Manhattan offices and communications in the area have been restored. Users can purchase official programs that include betting numbers from Equibase.com.

Watch notifications not functioning

DRF.com users should be aware that the current situation has caused DRF's Carryover Watch, Horse Watch, Trainer Watch and Race Watch services to cease generating and distributing notifications to subscribers of these services, both via email and posting to the Web site.

Client sites remain affected

Web sites hosted by Daily Racing Form's hosting services group also remain affected by the situation in lower Manhattan. The race track Web site will be out of service until DRF's T1 lines have been restored.

Thoro-Graph users can go to the to download their products until connectivity to thorograph.com has been restored. Thoro-Graph's main site will be available as soon as DRF's T1 lines have been restored.

We will continue to keep site users informed of the situation as new information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to deal with an extraordinary situation.
