Sagamore Farm homebred Give No Quarter turned in an eye-catching performance while stretching out to a mile in his second career start Sept. 17 at Presque Isle Downs, romping by 22 ½ lengths against maiden special weight competition. Away alertly under jockey Erick Rodriguez, the 2-year-old Tiz Wonderful colt quickly established command and took the field through moderate early fractions, arriving at the quarter pole with a six-length lead. He extended his advantage to 12 lengths in upper stretch and continued drawing clear, finishing the mile in 1:38.99 on the all-weather Tapeta Footings surface. Give No Quarter, who is trained by Graham Motion, finished second in his debut going 5 ½ furlongs on Aug. 15 at Presque Isle, missing by half a length to Ready for Action after being bumped at the start. Ready for Action came back to win his subsequent start against allowance company. Maryland-bred Give No Quarter is out of the unraced Not For Love mare Roadtohanna, dam of three winners from as many starters. Tell A Great Story, her 3-year-old Bluegrass Cat filly, won the Go For Wand Stakes and was third in the Grade 2 Delaware Oaks this summer.
