Divine Task wins in Dubai

Divine Task scored a mild upset at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday night. landing the Jebel Hatta, a Group 3 prep for the Dubai Duty Free.

In just his fourth lifetime start, Divine Task, a 4-year-old son of Irish River, beat Lightning Arrow by a length, getting the one mile and 195 yards on good turf in a pedestrian 1:52.02. He did, however, beat some good horses, including 2000 Dubai Duty Free winner Rhythm Band (fourth) and last year's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Summoner (sixth). Previously a maiden winner, Divine Task has been earmarked by Godolphin, along with stablemates Summoner and Best of the Bests, for a clash with Val Royal in this year's Dubai Duty Free on March 23.
