Divine Proportions a good fit

Divine Proportions appears to be supremely well placed to extend her undefeated streak to three in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte on Sunday.

Divine Proportions is a three-quarter-sister to Whipper, the winner of last August's Group 1 Prix Morny. A 2-year-old daughter of Kingmambo, Divine Proportions has already defeated colts in the five-furlong, Group 3 Prix du Bois at Chantilly on June 28. That day she beat Great Blood by four lengths, with Salut Thomas another 2 1/2 lengths back in third. Those two will try Divine Proportions again in the 5 1/2-furlong Robert Papin, where their chances of overturning the Prix du Bois form are slim.

The Time form rating of 112+ awarded Divine Proportions for her Prix du Bois victory is the highest rating that Timeform has given to a juvenile this year. It would be no surprise if she improved on that mark for her trainer, Pacal Bary, on Sunday.

If there is to be a challenge to the odds-on favorite it could come from Andre Fabre's supplementary entry, Portrayal. He was a conditions race winner last time in his second start.
