Deuce Greathouse joins staff at Four Star Sales

David “Deuce” Greathouse II has joined the staff at Four Star Sales in Lexington, Ky., where his duties will include client recruitment, farm inspections, and client services at public auctions.

Greathouse is the son of the elder David Greathouse, a founding partner in Four Star Sales, who died in October. The younger Greathouse has been associated with the organization since its inception in 2002, showing yearlings at sales while attending Tulane University. He later worked with his father and extended family overseeing yearling prep at Glencrest Farm and managing various pinhook partnerships.

“Deuce has spent the last 10 years gaining a very well-rounded education in the Thoroughbred industry from both the selling and buying end,” said Kerry Cauthen, managing partner of Four Star Sales. “His deep family history and skill set will definitely be a strong addition in the continued growth of Four Star Sales. It is a natural fit for us all.”

Greathouse will continue to operate his existing weanling, yearling, and mare pinhook partnerships and management of Pike Place Racing while maintaining his client relationships and business development role at Glencrest Farm.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity and look forward to being involved in the growth of Four Star Sales and Glencrest Farm,” Greathouse said. “Both entities work hand in hand, and I believe that I will be able to generate new areas of business for both groups in the years to come.”
