Derby update

There was an overhaul to the Derby Watch top 25, with five horses - Fund of Funds, Great Notion, Indian Express, Outta Here, and Supah Blitz - coming onto the list, and the odds being adjusted on numerous runners who raced last week. Fund of Funds was second in the Illinois Derby, and Indian Express was second in the Santa Anita Derby. Both are 40-1 on the Kentucky Derby future line set by Mike Watchmaker, Daily Racing Form national handicapper. Outta Here, who was fourth in the United Arab Emirates Derby, enters at 50-1. Great Notion, who is running in the Blue Grass Stakes, makes his second appearance this spring on the top 25. He is 60-1. Supah Blitz, second in the Aventura Stakes, also is back on the list after being dropped earlier. He is 80-1. Watchmaker lowered the odds on Buddy Gil to 10-1 from last week's 30-1 following his victory in the Santa Anita Derby. Ten Most Wanted, the Illinois Derby winner, plummeted from 40-1 to 12-1. Watchmaker also lowered Badge of Silver from 12-1 to 6-1, making him the second choice to Empire Maker.

Alysweep, Domestic Dispute, During, Inamorato, and Logician all were dropped from the top 25. Atswhatimtalknbout was raised by Watchmaker to 10-1 from last week's 5-1. Kafwain floated up to 15-1 from 10-1, and Ocean Terrace is now 50-1 after being 30-1 a week ago.

It was a challenge to come up with 25 names this week. Who's left? Perhaps Christine's Outlaw, who runs in Saturday's Arkansas Derby.
