Deputy Glitters completed preparations for the 132nd Kentucky Derby on Wednesday by working five furlongs in 1:03.36 over a fast Churchill Downs track that still had some moisture in it. Deputy Glitters was the last Derby horse to put in a workout for Saturday's race. Deputy Glitters won the Tampa Bay Derby, but is coming off a poor sixth-place finish in the Wood Memorial. That race was run on a sloppy track. Trainer Tom Albertrani said that even if the track were to come up sloppy on Saturday, Deputy Glitters would run because it's the Kentucky Derby.
