Bejoyfulandrejoyce, who won the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Ladies at Fair Grounds in 2000, will return from nearly a three-year layoff in the seventh race at Delta Downs Friday night. The seven-furlong allowance, which will be contested around two turns, is for fillies and mares and carries a purse of $28,000.

The 7-year-old Bejoyfulandrejoyce has not raced since Feb. 24, 2001, when she finished seventh in the $150,000 Chou Croute at Fair Grounds. In her two starts prior to that race, she finished second in the $75,000 Truly Bound in January 2001, and also won the Ladies in December 2000. One of her best races came in defeat, when she was beaten a neck by Cash Run in the Grade 2 Bonnie Miss in March 2000.

Steve Bourque has the mount on Bejoyfulandrejoyce for her owner and breeder, Rolling Hills Farm. She is trained by Doris Hebert.

* There were 202 nominations to the 10 statebred stakes that will make up Louisiana Premier Night at Delta Downs on Feb. 7. In all, the stakes will be worth $1 million.
