Delta Downs will put on a $1 million card of stakes for Louisiana-breds on Saturday night, and jockey Rosie Napravnik will be active on the program. Her mounts include Heavy on Themister, who leads the $200,000 Premiere Night Championship.
◗ The Grade 3, $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot run Nov. 17 continues to be a productive race as sixth-place finisher Itsmyluckyday won last Saturday’s Holy Bull at Gulfstream. In his previous start, he won the Gulfstream Park Derby.
Jackpot winner Goldencents has won the Grade 3 Sham at Santa Anita, and ninth-place finisher Show Some Magic won the Riley Allison at Sunland. In addition, third-place finisher Mylute was a 10-length allowance winner aat Fair Grounds and is being pointed to the Grade 2 Risen Star.
* Jockey Gerard Melancon was two wins from his 4,000th Thoroughbred victory entering Wednesday night’s card at Delta.

SIZZLING GOLD looks well situated. The 6yo mare has been a pro for a long time - you don't win 11 times by accident - and some of her best work has come sprinting on turf, on THIS turf course. After nearly 4 months off she came back to be a solid 3rd for $40K on this course June 2 and with that under her belt and a 2-level class drop she looks primed. Oh, that bullet :47 move here June 15 looks like a thumbs-up, too. HEAT TRAP finished full of run to get up in the final stride and in her turf sprint debut here May 19. She obviously has ability but it's first time vs.
