Delta Downs: Britt's Jules dominates

Britt's Jules wins the $50,000 Sportsman's Paradise for 3-year-olds at Delta Downs on Saturday.

Britt's Jules won his two turn debut on Saturday night when he drove to a dominating, four and a half length win in the $50,000 Sportsman's Paradise for 3-year-olds at Delta Downs. Every Advantage finished second, three-quarters of a length in front of third-place finisher and favorite There Goes Rocket.

The field for the Sportsman's Paradise was reduced to four starters with the scratches of Korbyn Gold, Real Trooper and Xtra Jack. There was no show wagering.

Britt's Jules($5.80) pushed pacesetter Bigbadbubba in the early stages, then drew clear, covering the seven furlongs in 1:26.94.

Steve Bourque rode the winner for trainer James Frierson. Britt's Jules earned $30,000 for the win, which was his fifth from 10 starts. A three-time stakes winner, his earnings stand at $104,898.
