The 5-year-old mare Onepointhreekarats reaffirmed her affinity for the main track at Delaware Park on Wednesday when she scored a front-running two-length victory in the $51,625 Winter Melody Stakes for older fillies and mares. Making her first start after being badly beaten in a pair of Grade 2 stakes earlier this season, Onepointhreekarats ($9) broke from the rail under Jeremy Rose and was comfortably in front throughout, completing 1 1/16 miles on a fast track in 1:43.58. Trained by Graham Motion for Live Oak Plantation, Onepointhreekarats is now 5 for 13 lifetime with earnings of $20,989. In her only previous start at Delaware last September, she romped by 4 1/2 lengths. “She was perfect today,” said Rose. “The last couple of times I rode her there were a couple of fast horses in the races and I took her back.  Right now, I do not think she likes that.  She likes being out there either close or on the outside and today we did that.  I got a nice lead and she really responded.” Onepointhreekarats could make her next start in the Grade 3, $100,000 Obeah at 1 1/8 miles on June 15.  The Obeah is the local prep for the Grade 1, $750,000 Delaware Handicap at 1 1/4 miles on July 20. Bryan’s Jewel, the 9-5 second choice in a field reduced to six by five scratches, was second, five lengths clear of Ciguaraya. Twice the Lady, coming off a pair of in-the-money finishes in graded stakes in New York, finished last as the 7-5 favorite.
