Delaware: Meeting of old pros

Once upon a time, A Huevo and Shake You Down were graded stakes winners. The two old-timers, whose recent form has gone sour, surprisingly turn up among the entries in the $55,000 Mo Bay, a six-furlong overnight stakes at Delaware Park.

The 9-year-old A Huevo wasn't competitive in either of his last two starts, the Grade 1 De Francis Memorial Dash at Pimlico or the Grade 3 Fred Hooper at Calder, and has been idle since December. He now drops in class and returns to a track where he is 4 for 4 in his career.

Shake You Down, age 7, was still good enough to run a close second in the Grade 3 Tobobban Handicap at Aqueduct in March. But his Beyer Speed Figures got progressively worse in non-stakes losses at Mountaineer and Pimlico. He hasn't worked out or raced since May 20.

Five of the seven horses who will oppose A Huevo and Shake You Down have run a triple-digit Beyer in one of their last two races. That group includes Saay Mi Name, second in a $100,000 stakes at Philadelphia Park to Gadaces Khamseh, a horse who came back to win again last week; Forest Park, a winner of 6 of 7 lifetime; and Silver Flower, easy winner of two in a row at Delaware.
