Delaware: Dynamist gets her stakes

When Dynamist won her maiden for trainer Michael Dickinson in her debut last October, she had the look of a stakes winner. It took her five more races and more than eight months, but she finally did the trick, winning the $75,300 Denise Rhudy Memorial at Delaware Park.

Dynamist ($13.20) rallied under Jose Caraballo to defeat Grat by two lengths in the Rhudy, a 1 1/8-mile turf race for 3-year-old fillies. Toll Taker finished another 1 1/2 lengths back in third. Favored More for Me finished fifth in the field of six.

Dynamist, coming off a third-place finish in a Belmont Park allowance, covered the distance in 1:50.43. Owned by Dr. John Chandler, Dynamist, by Dynaformer, has won 2 of her 6 starts and has earned almost $90,000.
