Del Mar pick six pays $199,296

DEL MAR, Calif. – An aversion to favorites was key to winning the pick six at Del Mar on Wednesday.

The bet paid $199,296 on a day in which no favorites were successful in pick six races. Consolation tickets were worth $1,371.

The bet began with a carryover of $195,206 from Sunday. Bettors added $1,126,837 on Wednesday.

The winners of Wednesday’s pick six races were Myrna Lou ($13), Magic Number ($8.40), Tuff Storm ($29), Lucky S.J. ($17.80), Sunset Glow ($8.60) and Spirit of Ten ($13.40).

Magic Number was the second choice, while Sunset Glow was the third choice in the seventh race, the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes.

Going into the last race, there were four outsiders in a field of 12 maiden claimers who could have caused a two-day carryover. The best finish from those runners was Chain Lightning, who finished fourth at 21-1.

Where's the information on the TICKET COST of the winning P-6 tickets? Haven't you figured that out after 2 decades of reporting.....this what horseplayers WANT TO KNOW?

Roger's right. It's always informative, and desirable, in big payouts, to let us know how many winning tickets were sold, where they were purchased, and amt. of each ticket(s). If you have the info, please let us know, my DRF friends. Thank you!
