Del Mar pick six jackpot carryover of $50,550

Email

DEL MAR, Calif. – No one hit the pick six on Friday at Del Mar, producing a carryover in the general pool, adding to the single-ticket jackpot, and setting up the possibility of a massive mandatory payout on closing day Sunday.

First, though, bettors will take a crack at Saturday’s card, which features a wide-open running of the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby. The general pool carryover entering Saturday is $42,767, while the single-ticket jackpot – which has gone unclaimed for four straight days -- is up to $50,550.

There was $80,055 bet on the pick six on Friday. Only six tickets had 5 of 6, and each was worth $1,527.40.

Under new pick six rules this meet, 70 percent of the net pool goes to those with 6 of 6. If no one has six, that amount is carried over in the general pool. Of the rest, 15 percent goes to those with 5 of 6, and the remaining 15 percent is set aside for the single-ticket jackpot.
