Del Mar: Pick-six carryover of $265,129 for Wednesday

Email

DEL MAR, Calif. – For the third time in four days, no one hit the pick six at Del Mar on Sunday, leading to a carryover to Wednesday's races of $265,129.

Del Mar is dark Monday and Tuesday.

The quality of the races in the sequence is better than usual for a weekday card. Included are a maiden race for 2-year-old fillies on the grass, an optional-claiming sprint for older females like the fleet Ismene, a maiden sprint for California-bred fillies, and the day's featured race, the Grade 2, $150,000 Sorrento Stakes for 2-year-old fillies, including She's a Tiger and E Equalsmcsquared, the first two finishers from the Landaluce Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, as well as impressive Hollywood Park maiden winner Stop Smiling.

First post Wednesday is 2:05 p.m. Pacific. With an eight-race card, the pick six will begin with race 3 shortly after 3 p.m.

Deja vu all over again. Seems like every Sunday @ Dmr results in a carryover for Wednesday. Something to look forward to in two days!
