Del Mar: Pick-six carryover of $255,708 for Wednesday

DEL MAR, Calif. – No one hit the pick six Sunday at Del Mar, leading to a carryover of $255,708 when racing resumes Wednesday.

There were 11 horses in Sunday's final race, and eight were covered. But one of the uncovered runners, 35-1 Tiz Dynamic, prevailed to cause a Sunday-to-Wednesday carryover for the fourth straight week. Based on what happened this past week, expect close to $1.5 million to be added to the pool Wednesday.

The sequence Wednesday contains split divisions of a $20,000 maiden-claiming sprint for fillies that drew fields of 11 and 12; a $10,000 claiming route for older fillies that has a field of 10; nine $25,000 claiming 3-year-olds going long in search of their second lifetime win; another field of nine, this time maiden California-bred fillies, going a mile; and the day's feature, the $90,000 Green Flash, a five-furlong turf sprint that can have a maximum field of eight.

First post time is 2:05 p.m. Pacific. With an eight-race card, the pick six begins on race 3 shortly after 3 p.m.
