Game On Dude, winning the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup by 1 1/2 lengths, is being pointed to the $1 million Pacific Classic on Aug. 26.

DEL MAR, Calif.- Game On Dude is fit and ready for the $1 million Pacific Classic at Del Mar on Aug. 26.

After Game On Dude worked five furlongs in 1:00.60 on Sunday, trainer Bob Baffert said he wished the race was sooner.

“He’s staying in the groove,” Baffert said. “He really likes this track. I’ve got to keep him on that track for three weeks.”

The winner of the Hollywood Gold Cup on July 7, and two other stakes earlier this year, Game On Dude is the likely favorite for the Pacific Classic, which is run over 1 1/4 miles.

Champion of what. The horse has won no championships. The Handicap Champion was Acclamation. He should have been HOY but the eastern establishment lap dogs voted for that slug Harve de Grace who couldn't even get near Dude and was a non-factor in the BC classic.

Acclamation should have been HOY? He had one brilliant race in the p classic last year, but before and after that, he pretty much just barely beat a bunch of relatively weak fields. Not HOY caliber in the least.

and Havre de Grace a slug? Shame on you!

I love it Dullahan should get the price this time on the surface he likes. I believe he'll hit the board this time. Hard to go against Acclimation. Richards Kid not one of my favs even though he's good over that surface, and thats important. Won't rule out Game on Dude. Last year was Last year. Horses change form and trainers learn from mistakes, so can't throw him out, plus will get a better price on the dude this time.

Sorry, don't like any shippers chances coming to CA to take on these. Game on Dude is the logical choice but if Acclamation can tire him, I like Take Control to gobble them up late. He is finally coming in to his own, royally bred and his last race was better than looked...

I don't see PVal allowing the Dude to get in front of him. And Chantal's not talented enough a rider to outride/outfight the likes of PVal for the lead. I'm looking beyond these 2 for the winner, as I believe they'll duel each other out of the money.

All the workouts won't convince me Game on Dude is as good on turf-synth like Del Mar's Poly as he is on dirt or Hollywood's dirt-like Cushion. He couldn't even hold on for 4th aginst Stately Victor in last year's Pacific Classic and his Dubai effort was a non-effort. If he wins, he wins, but I won't be betting him. I really like Acclamation but his Whittingham and Read performances this year were not as good as the corresponding performances last year. And it's fairly clear. Richard's Kid has looked as good as ever in his 3 races stateside this year. He's the horse to beat. Rail Trip doesn't have much chance, nor does Jaycito. Dullahan is up against it class-wise. Suggestive Boy has a real shot as does Take Control.

Acclamation beat Game On Dude easily last year. This year won't be any different. He won't even hit the board. The most overrated horse and jock in the country

chantell 's stat's aren't that good these last couple years...since mike dumped her but 2-3 races on game and she's good to go......

She can't get the mounts at SA because she doesn't have the connections. She's better off without Smith he doesn't treat her right. Chantell should be at Woodbine where she can rack up the wins.
