De Francis attracts 26

EmailTwo of the top four horses from last month's Breeders' Cup Sprint are likely to run in next weekend's Grade 1, $250,000 Frank De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel Park.

Talent Search, who finished third in the BC Sprint, and the fourth-place finisher, Benny the Bull, are among 26 horses nominated to the Dash, which headlines the Nov. 24 Fall Festival of Racing card.

The 4-year-old Talent Search, based at Fair Hill in Maryland, is listed as a definite starter by trainer Mark Shuman. He has finished in the money in his last seven starts, including the Grade 3 Maryland Sprint Handicap at Pimlico in May.

Benny the Bull, who rallied from last following a troubled start to finish ahead of six horses in the BC Sprint, is considered probable for the Dash.

Other nominees include Grade 2 winners Will He Shine, High Finance, Mach Ride, Saint Anddan, and the filly Miraculous Miss as well as the Maryland Million Sprint winner, Grand Champion.
