Group 2 winner and prominent sire Dansili has been pensioned due to declining fertility, Juddmonte Farms announced this week. The 22-year-old son of Danehill and the late blue hen Hasili will live out his days at the operation’s Banstead Manor Stud in England. “With the support of loyal breeders, Dansili rose from modest beginnings to become one of Europe’s leading sires,” Simon Mockridge, Juddmonte’s U.K. stud director, said in a release. “He has established himself as an incredibly consistent sire of high-class performers. His influence will be felt at Juddmonte for many years to come through his daughters in the broodmare band and via his exciting son Bated Breath, whose career has closely echoed that of his sire to date.” :: Get breeding & sales news, Beyer info, and more delivered right to your email!
