Dandy Dora scores easily in Chariot Chaser

Dandy Dora was a handy five-length winner over Tricky Temper in the $50,000 Chariot Chaser Handicap for 3-year-old fillies at Northlands Park on Saturday.

Breaking alertly from an outside post, Dandy Dora gained the lead and the rail going past the stands for the first time in the 6 1/2-furlong sprint. After battling with What R the Odds through fractions of 22.00 seconds and 45.40, Dandy Dora opened up a clear lead on the stretch turn. With Rickey Walcott aboard, she held a three-length lead heading into the stretch and was never threatened the rest of the way. She posted a final time of 1:18.40. Tricky Temper stalked the leaders from along the rail and overtook What R the Odds in midstretch. What R the Odds held on to finish third.

Dandy Dora, who is trained by Greg Tracy, paid $5.90. She earned $30,000 to bring her career earnings to $$121,120. She is owned by Stan Ryan.
