Grade 1 winner Dame Dorothy, who is targeting the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall selected mixed sale, to be held Nov. 1 in Lexington. The 4-year-old Bernardini filly will be consigned as a racing or broodmare prospect by Bluewater Sales, as agent for owner Bobby Flay. She is one of six supplemental entries to the sale, announced Tuesday by Fasig-Tipton. Dame Dorothy has won a trio of graded stakes, highlighted by the Grade 1 Humana Distaff earlier this year, in which she defeated reigning divisional champion Judy the Beauty. She most recently finished third in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap on Sept. 26 at Belmont Park, her third career graded placing. Dame Dorothy is a half sister to European Group 1 winner Mrs. Lindsay and is from the family of Grade 1 winners Unaccounted For, Hatoof, Irish Prize, and Curren Black Hill. The other supplemental entries to the Fasig-Tipton November sale are stakes-placed racing or broodmare prospect Havanna Belle; broodmare prospect Gentle Caroline, a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies contender Gomo; stakes winner Fusaichi Red, offered as a racing or broodmare prospect; multiple stakes winner Tuttipaesi, consigned as a racing or broodmare prospect; and stakes-producing broodmare Starlight Tiara.
