Daily Racing Form partners with Publichandicapper.com

Daily Racing Form has entered into an exclusive licensing and operating agreement with Publichandicapper.com, a Thoroughbred racing tournament website.

Founded in 1998, Publichandicapper.com is the longest continuously running online handicapping contest in the United States. Horseplayer performance is tracked via a regularly updated leaderboard.

“We view tournaments as a unique way to connect with horseplayers,” the Racing Form’s CEO, John Hartig, said. “As title sponsor of the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship since its inception, DRF has been actively engaged in tournaments at the highest level. This is a logical extension of DRF’s portfolio, providing players a way to hone their skills with mythical money on the Publichandicapper.com site, while playing on DRFBets with their real bankroll.”

At Publichandicapper.com, players bet on four races per week, 11 months of the year.

In addition to continuing the current site model, DRF plans to add additional contests and prizes in coming months. Players also will have the opportunity to become featured handicappers on DRF.com, based on their handicapping prowess.

“Publichandicapper.com players want to be associated with the best handicappers in the game, including DRF’s Steven Crist, Mike Watchmaker, Brad Free, and Dave Litfin,” said Scott Carson, founder of Publichandicapper.com. “Under the DRF umbrella, we’ll be able to take Public Handicapper to the next level, with more contests, more prizes, and a much bigger public platform.”

Carson will continue as a Public Handicapper editor and will work on the site’s development in partnership with DRF.
