Craig Dado, an executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, was elected to the board of directors of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association at a board meeting Friday in Baltimore, the NTRA announced.

Dado, 48, has been at Del Mar since 2001. He previously was a marketing executive at Santa Anita Park. He will fill one of six seats reserved on the NTRA board for racetrack representatives.

Also on Friday, the NTRA said that it had net revenues of $66,850 for the fiscal year ending Jan. 31, 2013. The organization will release full financial results in June, the NTRA said.

For the previous fiscal year, the NTRA had a net loss of $598,000, reducing its cash to $346,000. During the period, the NTRA had a fiscal year of 13 months, in order to change its fiscal year from a calendar year to a February-Janauary period to better reflect its involvement with the National Handicapping Championship, held every year in late January.
