Email

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Composer has relocated from Dr. William O. Reed's Mare Haven Farm in Lexington to Doug Arnold's Buck Pond Farm in Versailles, Ky., for the 2002 season.

A 9-year-old Easy Goer stallion, he will stand for $3,500 in 2002. His first foals will be 2-year-olds next year.

Composer is out of the Group 3-winning Danzig mare Honoria, who also produced stakes-winner Colonial Power, by Pleasant Colony. Composer's victories included the Grade 2 Jim Dandy and, on turf, the Remington Park Breeders' Cup Handicap. He raced from ages 2 to 6, retiring with a record of 41-8-5-3 and earnings of $471,635.

Composer remains the property of Chris Nolan.

Buck Pond also announced that it has lowered the fees for two of its stallions for 2002. Doneraile Court, back from standing the Southern Hemisphere season in Chile, and Bernstein both will stand for $7,500 in the coming season. Both stallions stood for $10,000 in 2001.
