Columbus track report

COLUMBUS, Neb. - Irish Flyer, fresh off a strong victory over male opponents in the Amadevil Handicap, returns to the filly and mare ranks to face seven others in Sunday's $7,000-added Bill Callihan Handicap at 6 1/2 furlongs.

Trained by Terrell Hemmer, Irish Flyer picked up her stakes win of the year in the Amadevil, where she posted an $18 upset over High Dice. Armando Martinez rides from post position 2.

Irish Flyer gets a fresh challenge in this spot with Be My Friend, Real Intrusion, and Cindy's Doll lurking in the field.

Be My Friend captured the Minneapolis Handicap over 1 1/16 mile on the turf at Canterbury Park in her last start, and the turnback in distance should make her a strong contender through the stretch here. Dennis Collins has the mount for trainer Herb Riecken from

post 3.

Real Intrusion is a $25,000 claim by David Anderson at Prairie Meadows from her last start, and she may play the part of a close-up stalker in this competitive field. K.C. Murray will ride from post 8.

Cindy's Doll just won for an $8,000 claiming price on Aug. 18 but cannot be overlooked with the jump in class. Trained by Dale Burns, Cindy's Doll sports a 5-1-1 record from nine starts over the track. Dustin Williams rides from post 4.
