Columbus: Missy Can Do seeks repeat

Missy Can Do is strictly the one to catch when she stretches her speed out over 6 1/2 furlongs in a short field of five going in the $10,000-added Bill Callihan Handicap at Columbus.

Trained by Joe Thomas, Missy Can Do tuned up here on Aug. 20 with a front-running half-length win over Jay's Impact in an open allowance race. R. D. Williams will have the task of stretching Missy Can Do's speed out for the extra sixteenth of a mile as she defends her title in the Callihan. She carries high weight of 122 pounds and breaks from post 4.

Jay's Impact drew the rail for Sunday's rematch, with Yuri Yaranga set to ride at 116 pounds. Jay's Impact, trained by Brian Roberts, has not been off the board in her nine starts this year and should be respected in this spot.

Burning Memories is the class of the field but has not won a race this year. A career winner of more than $220,000, Burning Memories has been racing at Canterbury Park this summer and most recently was fourth to Katy Smiles in the Dean Kutz Stakes. Dennis Collins will ride from post 3 at 119 pounds.

Magic Trump and Wealthy Rhythm round out the field.
