Colorful Tour ($5.80) holds off favorite Crafty Shaw by a neck to win the $100,000 Razorback Handicap at Oaklawn Park.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Colorful Tour picked up his fifth straight win Sunday and became the leading local hope for the Grade 2, $500,000 Oaklawn Handicap on April 5 when he held off favorite Crafty Shaw by a neck in the Grade 3, $100,000 at Oaklawn Park.

It was another head back in third to Windward Passage, who withstood a jockey's objection for stretch interference from fifth-place finisher Gold Tango.

Colorful Tour($5.80) broke on top in the Razorback, and led the field throughout, setting fractions of 23.47 seconds for the opening quarter and 47.18 seconds for the half while under pressure from Makors Mark.

Into the stretch, Colorful Tour quickened, and went on to cover the distance in 1:43.53.

"He's a racehorse," said Luis Quinonez, who rode the winner for Noel Hickey, the owner, breeder and trainer of Colorful Tour.

Colorful Tour's win streak started Dec. 7, when he won the $43,000 Demetris Boy for statebreds at Hawthorne. From there, he beat open company in the $43,000 Chicago Six, also at Hawthorne, then won an optional claimer and the Grade 3 Essex at Oaklawn.

For his win in the Razorback, Colorful Tour earned $60,000. His record now stands at 10 wins from 16 starts for earnings of $452,444. Colorful Tour, who is 4, is a son of Tour d'Or.
