ETOBICOKE, Ontario - San Diego Blowout blew away his three rivals Sunday at Woodbine in the $134,875 , winning the six-furlong dash for 2-year-olds by seven and a quarter lengths under Emile Ramsammy.

San Diego Blowout stalked front-running Gemini Dream, who set fractions of :22.06 and :45.01. He hit the front early in the stretch, and then drew off to complete the distance in 1:10.47. Zakocity finished third, while Firstgear ended up fourth. Jazzy Jay was scratched.

"He's a pretty nice horse," said Ramsammy. "He left the gate well, had a horse to track, and ran to what was expected of him."

San Diego Blowout returned $2.90 while remaining unbeaten in two starts for trainer Abraham Katryan. He earned $84,971 for Kelynack Racing Stable.

* Brass in Pocket ($8.50) won Sunday's supporting feature, the $108,000 Kamar Stakes, by a half-length over One for Rose. Winning Chance, the 1-2 favorite, finished fourth in the seven-furlong dash for fillies and mares.

Brass in Pocket recorded a final time of 1:22.36 with David Clark aboard. She banked $64,800 for owner Frank DiGiulio Jr. and trainer Bob Tiller.
