Coil’s fee to remain at $5,000 at Magali Farms

Grade 1 winner Coil’s advertised fee will remain at $5,000 as he enters his second year of stud at Magali Farms in Santa Ynez, Calif.

The 5-year-old son of Point Given won seven of 14 career starts for earnings of $1,154,360, highlighted by wins in the Grade 1 Haskell Invitational Stakes and Santa Anita Sprint Championship, as well as the Grade 2 San Pasqual Stakes and Grade 3 Affirmed Handicap.

Mr. Broad Blade, a 17-year-old Broad Brush horse, and Roi Charmant, a 12-year-old son of Evansville Slew, will each stand for reduced rates in 2014, as each drops from $1,200 to $1,000.

The Magali Farms roster is completed by Good Journey, at $5,000; Atticus at $3,500; and Decarchy at $3,000.
