Magical Twist was second by six lengths over third-place finisher Nick’s Pick. Co Ferment ($8) settled off the pace before unleashing his bid. He covered the 1 1/8 miles on a fast track in 1:52.43. Nathan Haar was aboard for trainer Stetson Rushton. Co Ferment began his streak July 8 in a one-mile allowance at Arapahoe. He proceeded to win two more allowances at the same distance and track, before becoming a stakes winner Saturday. Co Ferment is a son of Afleet Express and races for David Lebsock; he was bred in Arkansas by McDowell Farm. Co Ferment has now won five of 14 starts and $74,476. Twisted Regan ($19.40) won her third straight race in the $40,000 Spicy, a 1 1/16-mile race for fillies and mares bred in Colorado. Mike Ziegler was aboard for Linda Gleason and trainer Kenneth Gleason. Twisted Regan started her streak with a July 4 allowance win at Arapahoe, then accounted for a second allowance at the track July 30.
