Multiple stakes winner Clubhouse Ride will stand for $2,500 this spring at Harris Farms..

ARCADIA, Calif. - Clubhouse Ride, a three-time stakes winner and millionaire, will enter stud at Harris Farms in Coalinga, Calif., this spring, the farm and the Santa Anita publicity department announced.

Clubhouse Ride will stand for $2,500. A 7-year-old by Candy Ride, Clubhouse Ride sustained a suspensory injury when ninth in the San Antonio Stakes on Feb. 7, leading to discussions about whether to launch a stud career this year or attempt a racing comeback later this year.

Owned by Nikolas Petralia and Six-S Racing Stable, Clubhouse Ride ended his career with 5 wins in 43 starts and earnings of $1,341,132. Clubhouse Ride won the Barretts Juvenile at Fairplex Park in 2010, and consecutive runnings of the Grade 2 Californian Stakes at Hollywood Park in 2013 and at Santa Anita last June.

Clubhouse Ride was later second to Majestic Harbor in the $500,000 Gold Cup at Santa Anita last June, a race formerly known as the Hollywood Gold Cup.

Craig Lewis trained Clubhouse Ride, who was purchased for $22,000 as a yearling. Clubhouse Ride is out of Seeking Results, by Seeking the Gold.
