Haggled Kiss

She is getting better as young runners are supposed to do but she did win her opener and is still a winner of but one; Lasix might be the key to an improved race and, dropping, she is not without merit, though the multiple winners might hold an edge; will look to others but not sure that she can be ruled out as a possibility without knowing more about the track.

Stormy Society

Has a lot of good races on her form and has had her picture taken twice this year and twice last; she likes it wet and should be competitive as she is back in for a tag where her wins have come and stretching up as well; she has a couple of works and they have to beat her.

Vany's Storm

Won her first race on the grass last time and is switched back to the dirt; while she has improved since switching to the turf that might be as much about development as about the surface; she could be well positioned and could prove tough to get by though the 122 should steady the sophomore filly a bit.

Stephanie's Wager

Missed the chance to take her for a quarter the day she won but went after her for $40K last time when she fared less well; be interesting to see what the maiden winner will do here as she stretches out with winners; simply put she needs to improve by several lengths to be competitive.

Eternally Yours

Won last year and has gone winless this in nine attempts; her latest sprint was her best in some time and she will be stepping up and stretching out again; the mix leaves the pace of the race unclear but she is one who might try for the lead; she has run by others too; worth a good look following the work.

Wiry Willie

Has not run here for some time and was a recent route winner at FE at the distance but was not match on the turf in stakes company from an impossible post as well; turf to dirt with a slow breeze and maybe easier company; don't know that she will get the lead or how well she will run without it.

Classy Daniela

Was a winner when tagged the last time and did enough in her latest to think that she can be competitive here; she has a good interim work and should be well positioned could get a trip and is a threat to win in this open contest.

Dime Across

Two-time winner beat much easier three starts ago for her first win at the longer distance and after a third to Stormy Society tried the turf unsuccessfully at FE last time; she is going to face a faster pace here and that may prove to be her undoing.

Seven of Nine

Beginner has a strong pedigree as she is by a high percentage debut sire and from a mare (23-years-old when she foaled) who has produced 8 winners (emphasis on 'long' and 'turf') including 24-time winner Vrolet (158 sts.) and group 2 winner Aboline; lots to like.

Caught Fire

Part of the entry had an appealing workout last weekend and she returns to the dirt which should be a better surface for her; she was an even 3rd in her debut race which was a key event; contender.

Princess Condo

Her sire is below average as a debut sire and the mare has produced 4 winners including the tough turfer Wide Release; she might prefer even more distance so let's watch her once.

Bold Tigress

Has not missed a paycheck in her 6 races but it was thought she would have won her maiden by now; she has been testing 2 turn distances recently and racing evenly, so perhaps her late kick will be more pronounced in this shorter event; she had a decent workout in company last weekend.

Light Mahogany

Is back at this track after an even effort in her latest at the maiden allowance level at Fort Erie and a bit more was expected from her that day; these are trickier maidens.

Franknruss

Sizy filly was working like the wind several months ago but it wasn't until just over a week ago that she made her debut; she raced with Lasix in that opener and was never far off the pace and she closed well behind a much more experienced filly; if she doesn't mind the quick return to action, she should be a strong factor.

Twilight Tango

Ran well in her debut when she closed some ground but her latest was drab and she quickly shortens up in distance; like the entrymate better.

Hollywood Ending

Expensive filly looked like a winner in her debut race as she sat a nice trip behind a front runner but she got tired in the stretch; she tried grass last time and raced evenly and perhaps the addition of Lasix for this 3rd start explains what has been happening; threat.

Sun Tzu

Moves into a tougher spot and is most unlikely to get so easy a trip as his last; not sure that he will be able to deal with the pace at the shorter distance or the company either; likes the distance on dirt if the race comes off the inside is good.

Speed Gun

Has run well on the grass and this is his best distance; he will be facing better again today and he will have to show that he will run his race with some give in the ground and he is going to have his hands full staying with some of the more accomplished older runners.

Steady Ruckus

Is on a roll with successive wins in a conditioned race and then the restricted Halton last time as the betting favorite in both; the key question for this might be the shorter distance and likely faster pace; he is one of the contenders to beat but the pace could be a problem; he has run well over a giving course; have to beat him.

Hoptuit Bud

Sneaks in with a big race and win every now and again but he is likely to find this a bit of a difficult situation with a couple of the others in here; he drops weight but is still seen as unlikely.

Alea Iacta Est

Does not really win all that often these days but might find himself in a favorable situation based on the opposition; if the race stays on the grass he should be one of the more likely in here; contender though with the course likely to be giving there are still questions and the price is likely to be short.

Val de Dash

Won a like test back in June and has been freshened since his latest; he is listed to run with Lasix again today and the better the veteran runs the better his chance; he does well when fresh and could well be ready to for today; interesting with his latest over a course with some give in it arguring well for today.

Frank's Selection

Likes this distance; he has his share of turf wins but they have come with easier for the most part and he is very likely to have a tough time of it up this high as he did against Numerous Times earlier.

Doug's Legacy

Has yet to make the board on the grass and he has been struggling in his races this year after running some big races last year when he managed a trio of wins; he would be better off if the race comes off the grass but even so unless he is ready to run back to last year's races following some time away he is won't fare well.

Run Lil Tooch

Has a couple of wins this year on the grass and with easier and going shorter; he will put the blinkers back on for today but he is going to have to run his best or better; of possible significance is the fact that he runs well over giving courses; interesting for a spot on the ticket though around 10-1 should be demanded.

9th Woodbine

Earl the Pearl

Dropped to maiden claiming for the first time in his latest and he was pressing the early pace in that 2 turn event but could not stay with the top 2 by the final turn; he shortens up and gets returning apprentice Burningham who has been sitting out a suspension; longshot.

King Tiger

Picked up his 4th runner-up placing in his 2nd start of this year and that effort might lead to a long overdue win in his 20th start; he boasts one of the better recent Beyer Figures in the field but has class dropper Black Cougar to worry about on his outside; exotics factor.

Canadian Friday

Makes a sudden distance change after just 7 days off and this colt has little speed but had a bit of late run but not much excuse in a 10 furlong outing last time; he will have to get going in a hurry in this shorter race.

Granymede

Beginner is by a sire who is average as a debut sire and this is a 1/2 brother to 7 winners and a full brother to modest local runner Shadeed's Image; workout times have been slow.

Twine N Dine

Moves up off the claim even though he's been away more than 30 days and could be entered for lower claiming if his trainer desired; colt was favoured for his last appearance and he had better speed that day; recent workout times have been smart; consider.

Fire N Deputy

Nicely bred gelding has had some more time off and he drops in for half price for his 4th start; he raced evenly in his last outing and his trainer hasn't missed too many times with class droppers this year.

Regent Deputy

His sire is below average with debut winners and this is the 2nd foal of a winning mare; he had some gate practice earlier this month but let's give him a race.

Honey Sickle

Matter of Honor is above average as a debut sire and the first foal of this mare is the stakes placed Wisdom N Youth; has speed and stamina in his breeding and is sent out by a trainer who can have one ready.

Common Friday

Speedy gelding was doing much better in early summer and since a disturbing incident when he bolted inwards on Aug. 10, he has been out of 'synch'; he was claimed from his latest by a trainer who has done well with new claims but this one might be a project.

All Great

His sire is below average as a debut sire and the mare was stakes placed at 4 and a 2yo debut winner; the mare has produced 3 winners from 5 foals to race; appears to be reasonably spotted.

Black Cougar

Should take most of the betting support based on his 2nd place finisher 2 months ago against better maidens but note that he was a recent vet scratch; he ran well in a sprint race in his debut when 10 lengths ahead of the 3rd place finisher; very strong.
