Clodovil colt tops day 1 at Tattersalls

EmailA weanling colt by the Danehill stallion Clodovil topped Tuesday's opening session at the Tattersalls December foal sale in Newmarket, England, on a 60,000-guinea bid from Jimmy Murphy of Redpender Stud. The price is equivalent to about $130,339.

The colt, a son of the Inchinor mare Inching, was consigned by Mick Channon's Norman Court Stud. Overall, the first of five sessions sold 131 horses for about $1,688,576, yielding an average of about $12,890 and a median of about $6,216.
