Claiborne Farm announces 2015 stud fees

Email

Claiborne Farm in Paris, Ky. has announced the stud fees for its 2015 stallion roster, with no immediate changes from the previous breeding season.

Popular commercial sire War Front once again leads the roster, standing for an advertised fee of $150,000. The rate will keep the 12-year-old son of Danzig among the highest-priced stallions in North America

The only variable among the Claiborne sires is champion Blame, whose fee remained to be determined at the time of the announcement. The 8-year-old son of Arch is represented by his first 2-year-olds this year, and stood the 2014 breeding season for an advertised fee of $30,000.

“Claiborne is committed to setting realistic stud fees,” said Claiborne stallion director Bernie Sams. “We value the support of the breeders, and thanks to them, our stallions have had considerable success over the last few years.”
