LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ms Anna Destiny finished third behind Vuitton in the Sept. 14 Open Mind Stakes at Churchill Downs, and she turned the tables on that rival in drawing off to an authoritative score in the $62,700 Dream Supreme Stakes at Churchill Downs Friday.

In an outside pace-pressing position early, a half-length behind leader Jan’s Perfect Star, Ms Anna Destiny surged three wide to take command with a quarter-mile remaining and drew away in the lane.

A 5-year-old daughter of Anabaa, she won by 4 1/4 lengths over the late-rallying Vuitton. Under Shaun Bridgmohan, Ms Anna Destinyr raced six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09.80, paying $11.40

The victory marked the third win in five races since trainer Brad Cox claimed her for $32,000 for owner Lloyd Schwing Racing May 11 at Churchill Downs. The Dream Supreme was her second stakes victory over that stretch.

Jan’s Perfect Star, who set a modest opening quarter in 22.11 in Dream Supreme, held third, three-quarters of a length behind the runner-up and well clear of the rest of the pack.

Completing the six-horse field were Livi Makenzie, a troubled Blueeyesintherein, who was squeezed at the start and steadied early on the backstretch, and Delightful Magic.

Cho Cho Cat, Ms. Hoochie Coochie, and New Wave were scratched.
