Churchill Downs: Extensive exotic wagering menu for Breeders' Cup

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A two-day daily double linking the BC Ladies’ Classic on Friday and the BC Classic on Saturday is among the multitude of exotic wagers available here Breeders’ Cup weekend. Last year, the two-day double combining Unrivaled Belle and Blame paid $89 for $2, with the pool totaling $523,311.

Other offerings on the extensive wagering menu include 10-cent superfectas, which have not been available here on Kentucky Oaks and Derby days, along with 50-cent increments on trifectas and rolling picks threes and pick fours. The new 50-cent pick-five wagers start with the first race each day, while the $2 pick six is on the final six races each day. There are mandatory payouts (no carryovers) each day on the pick five. The pick six can carry over from Friday to Saturday, but there is a mandatory payout Saturday.

A $1 super high five is being offered on the Ladies’ Classic and Classic. Then super high five can carry over from the Ladies' Classic on Friday to the Classic on Saturday, but there is a mandatory payout on the Classic.

Also, imported simulcasts from Calder, Aqueduct, and Santa Anita will be available both days to ontrack fans. No such simulcasts have been available at prior Breeders’ Cups at Churchill.

Unlike last year, when the BC Classic was the last of 11 races, the Chilukki Stakes will be run this year as a 12th race to follow the Classic, which should help ease human and vehicular traffic exiting the track.
