Chicago tracks in cable replay deal

The three Chicago-area Thoroughbred racetracks, Arlington Park, Sportsman's Park, and Hawthorne, have announced an agreement with CLTV, a local cable channel, to broadcast a nightly replay show through the end of 2003.

A half-hour show, to be produced independently by each track, will be broadcast each racing day at 10 p.m. Central. The series will begin during Hawthorne's spring meet, which runs from May 5 thru June 4, and will include the Arlington and Hawthorne fall meets this year.

Sportsman's currently has its own replay show on Fox Sports Net Chicago but will switch to CLTV in 2003.

CLTV is available on all Chicago-area cable systems and reaches 1.7 million households. CLTV broadcasts the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks professional sports teams.
