Wednesday, April 25 ELODIE ($15/$20,000 Clm FM) - Dueled long and hard, proved very stubborn and dug in for the dead-heat. WESTERN AVENUE ($12,500 Clm) - Never saw the rail, kept coming in a gutsy try. Thursday, April 26 TRITECH (NW3) - Trainer David Martin enlisted Yannick Gingras to drive, and this trotter woke up with a good effort. Look for another catch-driver next out. DON'T POINT AT (NW18000 FM) - Had poor cover, launched a menacing four wide move in the turn and understandably flattened out. Friday, April 27 ASHES N DUST (NW5) - Gelding was uncovered a long way into a nicely rated pace, never seriously threatened but didn't tire that badly either. Sunday, April 29 COOL COLBY (NW13000) – Angled out wide on the final turn, got pushed wide to avoid a breaker, closed with plenty but ran out of ground. MCKEE LARGO ($15/$20,000 Clm) – Lost cover to the half, dueled hard the final three eighths before being rebuffed; pacer is very sharp now.
