Charles Town track report

Mr. Bubbly must be happiest when he's in Ronny Brown's barn.

A 5-year-old gelding, Mr. Bubbly ($16) had been claimed in each of his previous two starts, when he was beaten nearly 48 lengths with Beyer Speed Figures of 36 and 25. He returned to Brown's care, remained at the same level, and crushed $3,000 claimers by 11 1/4 lengths going 1 1/8 miles Sunday at Charles Town. Mr. Bubbly's Beyer skyrocketed to an 88.

In his last start for Brown, Mr. Bubbly trounced $5,000 claiming rivals by 13 1/2 lengths in November.

* Joe Schneider, a seven-pound apprentice, came into last Friday's program with a 2-for-70 record. He doubled his victory total by bringing home Sweet Talking Girl ($6.60) in race 6 and Ready to Rage ($19) in race 9.

* The 4-year-old colt Prince of Culpeper ($8.40), last of 10 and beaten 30 lengths in his only previous start last October, added Lasix and dropped in for a $5,000 claiming tag and scored by 18 1/4 lengths for trainer David Walters on Sunday's card. The winning Beyer was a modest 51.
