Charles Town: Silver Heart right at home

Email

Silver Heart returns to her favorite racetrack for the $50,000 Sadie Hawkins Stakes for West Virginia-bred fillies and mares. A gray 7-year-old, Silver Heart has posted 13 of her 14 wins at Charles Town. That consistency makes her a major player despite a layoff since mid-April. She faces only five rivals in the seven-furlong race around two turns.

Usual pilot Travis Dunkleberger will be aboard for Maryland-based trainer Gary Capuano.
Silver Heart has won 3 of 4 this year, with the trio of victories coming at Charles Town. The lone loss was a fifth-place effort in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap at Laurel.

Down Town Allen isn't far behind Silver Heart in her love of Charles Town. The 5-year-old has won 11 races at the track, but most of those victories have come going shorter. She did stretch out to win last year's Sadie Hawkins in a mild 5-1 upset.

Ok Listen Up is the relative newcomer as the lone 3-year-old in the lineup. Unlike some of her rivals, she thrives here at seven furlongs with a record of 2-1-2 in 6 tries. This will be her first stakes appearance against older rivals.

Little Shiney, sixth in the Sadie Hawkins last year, drops back into statebred company following four straight open races.

Won't Be Denied stretches beyond 4 1/2 furlongs for only the third time in 13 career starts.
