Charles Town, Penn National, Beulah cancel Wednesday programs

A combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain in the Mid-Atlantic region caused Charles Town and its sister track Penn National to cancel live racing programs scheduled for Wednesday.

In the Midwest, Beulah Park near Columbus, Ohio, also canceled its Wednesday program.

Eight of the first 20 live programs of the 2014 season at Penn National have been canceled due to the record-setting snow and cold conditions that have plagued the Mid-Atlantic region this year. Live racing is scheduled to resume on Thursday with first post time at 6 p.m. Eastern.

Charles Town has lost eight programs since Jan. 21 due to poor weather. The track will remain open for simulcasting with the next day of live racing scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m.

Penn loves this weather. It gives them an excuse not to race. All they want is mindless slot players.

To be honest with you. Anyone that plays PA racing is mindless with the high takeout they have.
