Charles Town: Invader formidable

Email

Chicago shipper Bluesbdancing, unbeaten in three starts, has found a soft spot in the $50,000 Snow White Stakes at Charles Town.

Although this will be her first start beyond six furlongs and around two turns, Bluesbdancing holds a substantial edge in Beyer Speed Figures. Her 73 for a victory in last month's Showtime Deb at Hawthorne and the 82 she earned defeating optional claimers at Arlington Park are far better than those of her nine rivals in the seven-furlong race.

The only filly within 10 points of Bluesbdancing on the Beyer scale is Denium Cowgirl. The Penn National-based Denium Cowgirl will be making her first start since she romped by 10 3/4 lengths going 6 1/2 furlongs in a nonwinners-of-three allowance at Charles Town on Oct. 14. She was awarded a Beyer Figure of 67 for that effort.

Melissa's Melody, close in a pair of restricted stakes at shorter distances earlier this season, comes back seven days after easily beating statebreds.
