Charles Town

A full field of 10, including stakes winners Oswayo, Adam's Tribe, and Chambord Liqueur, will run seven furlongs in Saturday's $40,000 St. Nick Stakes for 2-year-olds at Charles Town.

The likely favorites are Oswayo and President Butler, who finished a neck apart two starts ago in an allowance race at Laurel Park. Oswayo came back to win the Pennsylvania Futurity at Philadelphia Park.

Adam's Tribe is a three-time winner against West Virginia-breds and Chambord Liquer beat Virginia-breds at Delaware Park.

Cloudy Mist comes into the stakes off a 2 1/2-length win in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance at Charles Town last week.

* Ship-ins won seven of the 10 allowance races at Charles Town last week. The star of the week, however, was locally based Forever in Love, a 3-year-old filly who won her fifth consecutive race in last Friday's featured $28,000 allowance. Forever in Love survived a long duel with Elise's Notebook to win the seven-furlong race by a neck in 1:28.56.

* Travis Dunkelberger, the nation's third-leading rider, led all Charles Town jockeys with seven wins last week. Ramon Dominguez, who leads all jockeys with 401 wins through Tuesday, came to Charles Town for two mounts last Wednesday. He won aboard England Tower ($3) in the eighth race but finished second - behind Dunkelberger and Cherry Fizz - in the ninth.
